PS3 Home

Brendan A

Home is a beta for the PS3. It is built in and once you are connected to the internet you can play. It is an online community in which you can talk to other people. There is much more than that though. So you should check it out. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyquAXKeEI0 )

One great thing about it is the PS3 Network is free to use so, this is free too. One bad thing is when first playing you will constantly having to download new rooms to see all of home. You start off with a basic apartment with basic furniture, and can buy other stuff but, it will cost real money. Although for a free game you can't really expect much. Over all it ok. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Home )

There are a few basic areas but, there are also areas based off games. There is a movie theater where you are able to watch trailers for new movies. There is a mall where you can buy stuff such as clothes, furniture, or house. Although if you want to play games then you should go to the bowling alley, where you can play pool, ice breaker, endochrome, and of course bowling. If you have a PS3 this is free and at least worth checking out. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCWYG2syuhI )

Little Big Planet

Brendan A

Little Big Planet is a family game for the PS3. This is a 1-4 player game and can be played with others online. This game uses just about every thing the PS3 has to offer. Such as tilting the controller or the PlayStation Eye. This game is only for the PS3 and PSP. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75799 )

This game may offer to be played by one player but, that's not the way you should play it. This is the kind of game that you should play with a friend if you have another controller, or online with other people. You can go through the game collecting many stickers or clothes for your person, or even make your own level and share it with others. The version I have has 18 levels that other people made built in. This game can still be more updated form the PlayStation Network. ( http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/ )

This game has won over 80 awards including 15 Game of the Year Awards. The game was originally released in 2007 for the PS3 and came out in 2009 for the PSP. Through the PlayStation Network you can still update this game with new content. This game cost $59.99 or $49.99 used. This is a must have if you own a PS3. PS3

Brendan A

This Christmas I got a PS3. I got the 120gb slim PS3. It included two games with it. One was Little Big Planet, a family game that you control a sac doll, with has turned into the PS3 version of Mario. The other game I got was the God of War Collection (God of War 1+2), which is a new series with game just like Mortal Combat. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/productDetails.aspx?sku=020321 )

The PS3 is not only a game station, it offers a lot more. It is a blue ray player, which seems to be the best picture for know (games are on blue ray too). If you can hook up your online (PS3 has built in wifi) you can use the internet, download games and demos, or play online with some games. You can also go on an online community (built in) if you can use online. The PS3 has much more to offer. ( http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/dearplaystation/ )

In case you have lived under a rock for the last few years, I will tell you a little bit about PlayStation. First thing you should know is it is owned by Sony. The original PlayStation (released 1994) was the system the killed of Sega's game station making and was the only PlayStation system to not have a color black (currently 2nd in most sold game stations). The PS2 made DVDs popular in Japan with the ability to play them and , currently the most sold game stations. PlayStation has to portable systems the PSP and PSP go. The origanial PS3 60gb was released for origanally $599 (now only $299), which still leaves the 3DO at $699 the most expencive system to ever be released.
