Mario Kart 64

Brendan A

Mario Kart 64 is not the first game in its series. It first game out on the SNES and has been on every Nintendo system ever since (except the verchual boy). This version game out in 1997. There was no real story mode just winning races. This was a great game if you had more than one controller so you could play with a friend. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Kart_64 )

The racing has remained about the same in the whole series except for a few differences in the original SNES verion. In this version you have eight different charecters to choose from. It has a few tracks that have been remade and put on newer versions that you will reconize. My favorite Mario Kart track is only on this version, and is Yoshi Valley which I like because there are so many possible turns you don't know what place you got till the end. I would like to see this course be remade on a newer version. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Kart )

I got this game with my 64 at the dump. This game still works fine and I have not had any problems with it. This game is a great game to pick up if you like to play racing games, or play with friends. This series has added many more charecters and modes. The latest vesion being on the Wii. You should look for some game in this series. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=5691 )

Super Mario 64

Brendan A

Super Mario 64 came out in 1996 and, was the first successful Mario game that that had a 3-d look to it. This game was extremely revolutionary for its time. That is why It became so popular. This was the top selling game on the 64. The game was so popular you can find a download version on the Wii and they made a version with more levels and characters for the DS. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_64 )

This game does have the same normal story line, that Bowser has taken Princesses Peach and Mario has to rescue her. Between levels you will be in the castle, you jump into a painting to get to the level you want. There are six different objectives for each level (seven in DS and other charecters too), which you will need to unlock doors to visit new levels. This game has a lot built in to it. That is why it was so succesful. ( http://cheats.ign.com/ob2/068/000/000606.html )

This game is a great game to pick up if you are looking for one. 64 games are cheap, the download versions probaly only a little more, and the DS versions sould not be too bad. Even after getting thourgh the story mode there is many more stars that can be unlocked. This is a great game to get. You should look for a copy. Nintendo 64

Brendan A

The Nintendo 64 (N64) was released September 29, 1996. It took the spot of the SNES as the new 64 bit system. The 64 was about 3-d looks this was the first time Mario and Starfox were in a 3-d looking world. The 64 had its last game released in 2002 which was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, this was one of the last cartridges because disks were cheaper and you could put more on them. The 64's most popular game being Super Mario 64 one of the top all time selling games. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64 )

The 64DD was an add on released for the 64. This was anounced before the release date of the 64 but, was not released till its later years and only in Japan. This was a disk drive add on to the 64 but, came out with few games. This is because of the failed sells. I do not personally own one because they are expencive (about $100 US dollars on ebay) and I don't think I would play it enough for that price. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64DD )

I have the Jungle Green 64 which game with that, the wires, the Jungle Green 64 and another conroler, and two games for free, I got it at the dump. I later picked up two more controlers and a buch of games at a yard sell. My 64 works just fine and I have had no problems with it.
