Zelda Phantom Hourglass

Brendan A

Zelda Phantom Hourglass came out October 2007. There has been a Zelda game on every Nintendo system except the Virchual Boy (Nintendo's only failed system). Although you do not have to had played any Zelda games before to like this game. This series has an impossible time line to figure out and has caused a lot of debate over it. This is a great puzzle solving game for the DS. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_Hourglass )

In this game you have to resscue Tetra (Princess Zelda) and later get some spirt out of the Ocean Temple (only temple you have to constantly go back to). You will sail around islands deffeating temples andlooking for the goast ship. This game will us eall the features the DS has to offer. You have many upgrades for you ship that you can find after beating the game. Although this game does have a pritty long story mode, that is fun though out the game. ( http://www.gamespot.com/ds/adventure/thelegendofzeldads/index.html)

This is a great game for the DS. You should look for it and get it. There is a newer one that came out that I will want to get. This is a great game for the DS. Go find a copy today. ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6527057 )

Animal Crossing Wild World

Brendan A

Animal Crossing Wild World was released on December 5, 2005. This is the third game in its series, the first was released on the 64 (but only in Japan). It later went to the game cube. Now you can find it on the Wii. This game is a great game for the DS. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Crossing_Wild_World)

This game uses a lot of the DS's abilities. For example the only time you need to use a button is to turn it on. In this game you move into a town and you do what you want. You can sell things to upgrade your house, buy stuff, fish, and much more. If you have a friend with the game you can visit there village. One cool thing is it runs on real time that it finds out from you DS. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AGneWlKeUA )

There are all kind of thing you can do in this game. There is no story mode so you can playon and on. this game becomes pritty addicting and will be hard to but down. If you have any of the systems that can play this game you should get it. Animal Crossing Wild World is a great game for the DS. ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4025877 )

Nintendo DS

Brendan A

The original DS came out in 2004. It was bigger that the one in the picture to the left and had a smaller stylist (pen used for system). This system was big for its touch screen ability and microphone. It replased the Game Boy SP. My brother has the original version. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS )

The DS lite is the DS you see in the pitcure, which came out in June 2006. This version came with a brigher screen and some buttons moved around. This version is smaller that the orininal and dose not break as easy. This is not a great upgrade for people with the original but, if you don't have one is a better choice. I have this version of the DS. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=69190 )

The newest version of the DS id the DSi, which came out in April 2009. This version came with built in wifi ($30 atachment forDS) and, a built in camara about as good as a cell phone's. This version is the same size as the one before it even with the new add ons. I do do not own one but have used one, once again not a must have upgrade if you own a working DS. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=020307 )

Mario Kart 64

Brendan A

Mario Kart 64 is not the first game in its series. It first game out on the SNES and has been on every Nintendo system ever since (except the verchual boy). This version game out in 1997. There was no real story mode just winning races. This was a great game if you had more than one controller so you could play with a friend. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Kart_64 )

The racing has remained about the same in the whole series except for a few differences in the original SNES verion. In this version you have eight different charecters to choose from. It has a few tracks that have been remade and put on newer versions that you will reconize. My favorite Mario Kart track is only on this version, and is Yoshi Valley which I like because there are so many possible turns you don't know what place you got till the end. I would like to see this course be remade on a newer version. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Kart )

I got this game with my 64 at the dump. This game still works fine and I have not had any problems with it. This game is a great game to pick up if you like to play racing games, or play with friends. This series has added many more charecters and modes. The latest vesion being on the Wii. You should look for some game in this series. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=5691 )

Super Mario 64

Brendan A

Super Mario 64 came out in 1996 and, was the first successful Mario game that that had a 3-d look to it. This game was extremely revolutionary for its time. That is why It became so popular. This was the top selling game on the 64. The game was so popular you can find a download version on the Wii and they made a version with more levels and characters for the DS. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_64 )

This game does have the same normal story line, that Bowser has taken Princesses Peach and Mario has to rescue her. Between levels you will be in the castle, you jump into a painting to get to the level you want. There are six different objectives for each level (seven in DS and other charecters too), which you will need to unlock doors to visit new levels. This game has a lot built in to it. That is why it was so succesful. ( http://cheats.ign.com/ob2/068/000/000606.html )

This game is a great game to pick up if you are looking for one. 64 games are cheap, the download versions probaly only a little more, and the DS versions sould not be too bad. Even after getting thourgh the story mode there is many more stars that can be unlocked. This is a great game to get. You should look for a copy. Nintendo 64

Brendan A

The Nintendo 64 (N64) was released September 29, 1996. It took the spot of the SNES as the new 64 bit system. The 64 was about 3-d looks this was the first time Mario and Starfox were in a 3-d looking world. The 64 had its last game released in 2002 which was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, this was one of the last cartridges because disks were cheaper and you could put more on them. The 64's most popular game being Super Mario 64 one of the top all time selling games. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64 )

The 64DD was an add on released for the 64. This was anounced before the release date of the 64 but, was not released till its later years and only in Japan. This was a disk drive add on to the 64 but, came out with few games. This is because of the failed sells. I do not personally own one because they are expencive (about $100 US dollars on ebay) and I don't think I would play it enough for that price. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64DD )

I have the Jungle Green 64 which game with that, the wires, the Jungle Green 64 and another conroler, and two games for free, I got it at the dump. I later picked up two more controlers and a buch of games at a yard sell. My 64 works just fine and I have had no problems with it.

PS3 Home

Brendan A

Home is a beta for the PS3. It is built in and once you are connected to the internet you can play. It is an online community in which you can talk to other people. There is much more than that though. So you should check it out. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyquAXKeEI0 )

One great thing about it is the PS3 Network is free to use so, this is free too. One bad thing is when first playing you will constantly having to download new rooms to see all of home. You start off with a basic apartment with basic furniture, and can buy other stuff but, it will cost real money. Although for a free game you can't really expect much. Over all it ok. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Home )

There are a few basic areas but, there are also areas based off games. There is a movie theater where you are able to watch trailers for new movies. There is a mall where you can buy stuff such as clothes, furniture, or house. Although if you want to play games then you should go to the bowling alley, where you can play pool, ice breaker, endochrome, and of course bowling. If you have a PS3 this is free and at least worth checking out. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCWYG2syuhI )

Little Big Planet

Brendan A

Little Big Planet is a family game for the PS3. This is a 1-4 player game and can be played with others online. This game uses just about every thing the PS3 has to offer. Such as tilting the controller or the PlayStation Eye. This game is only for the PS3 and PSP. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75799 )

This game may offer to be played by one player but, that's not the way you should play it. This is the kind of game that you should play with a friend if you have another controller, or online with other people. You can go through the game collecting many stickers or clothes for your person, or even make your own level and share it with others. The version I have has 18 levels that other people made built in. This game can still be more updated form the PlayStation Network. ( http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/ )

This game has won over 80 awards including 15 Game of the Year Awards. The game was originally released in 2007 for the PS3 and came out in 2009 for the PSP. Through the PlayStation Network you can still update this game with new content. This game cost $59.99 or $49.99 used. This is a must have if you own a PS3. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Big_Planet )

PS3

Brendan A

This Christmas I got a PS3. I got the 120gb slim PS3. It included two games with it. One was Little Big Planet, a family game that you control a sac doll, with has turned into the PS3 version of Mario. The other game I got was the God of War Collection (God of War 1+2), which is a new series with game just like Mortal Combat. ( http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/productDetails.aspx?sku=020321 )

The PS3 is not only a game station, it offers a lot more. It is a blue ray player, which seems to be the best picture for know (games are on blue ray too). If you can hook up your online (PS3 has built in wifi) you can use the internet, download games and demos, or play online with some games. You can also go on an online community (built in) if you can use online. The PS3 has much more to offer. ( http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/dearplaystation/ )

In case you have lived under a rock for the last few years, I will tell you a little bit about PlayStation. First thing you should know is it is owned by Sony. The original PlayStation (released 1994) was the system the killed of Sega's game station making and was the only PlayStation system to not have a color black (currently 2nd in most sold game stations). The PS2 made DVDs popular in Japan with the ability to play them and , currently the most sold game stations. PlayStation has to portable systems the PSP and PSP go. The origanial PS3 60gb was released for origanally $599 (now only $299), which still leaves the 3DO at $699 the most expencive system to ever be released.
