Brendan AMario Kart 64 is not the first game in its series. It first game out on the SNES and has been on every Nintendo system ever since (except the verchual boy). This version game out in 1997. The racing has remained about the same in the whole series except for a few differences in the original SNES verion. In this version you have eight different charecters to choose from. It has a few tracks that have been remade and put on newer versions that you will reconize. My favorite Mario Kart track is only on this version, and is Yoshi Valley which I like because there are so many possible turns you don't know what place you got till the end. I got this game with my 64 at the dump. This game still works fine and I have not had any problems with it. This game is a great game to pick up if you like to play racing games, or play with friends. This series has added many more charecters and modes. The latest vesion being on the Wii.
